Requires Photoshop 6, Warcraft3 Viewer, and The Frozen Throne Expansion. This tutorial has been made because I am not satisfied with the responses on Custom Icons. They are not detailed enough and don't always get the job done. I'm not a dummy to computers and I had a hard time with this sooo.... Here goes, EASY WAY TO MAKE ICONS. BY ME. Forgot one thing, When using the selection tool to select the part of the image to be copied to your icon in Photoshop, hold "shift" while selecting to get a perfect square. This is important. IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS and you're SURE you followed and UNDERSTOOD the instructions perfectly. Save your map, and reload it in the editor and save it again. Double check spelling of paths "replaceabletextures etc... etc..." If still trouble, Plz post problems in this post. Thx :) AH! If you're using HeavyLocker for your maps and want to play them online, try Extprotect because using HeavyLocker messes up custom icons. |
