What tool\software would I use to make my voice through a mic sound something like a crypt fiend/crypt lord - and how? |

If u have a microphone, go to Start/Programs/Accessories/entertainment/sound recorder If you want to edit a sound on Wc3 then open the map you want to edit the sound on go to import manager and export the sound you want to modify and go to the sound recorder open that sound then import it back into the game and make it a variable. If you want to start from scratch go to the sound recorderand press the record button. Then talk into the microphone and after you're done, import it back into the game. :D :D Good Luck8)) 8)) |

That's only recording, Nieffed, and a very basic act of doing so. Unfortunately, my basic recording tutorial is down due along with the SA (ETA: Next week, hopefully). It's mostly about using Goldwave anyway (www.goldwave.com if you want it). You sound like you're just concerned with editing itself anyway, tichondrius... Editing is a major process with many variables. You can't necessarily take ANY voice and run a 'Crypt Lord' effect that instantly makes it sound like one. It depends on the voice itself, and how much experience one has in finding out what effects are best to apply to a voice. And since Blizzard don't divulge their editing formulae, it's up to sound editors to figure out the effects themselves. And since it's a lot of effort, don't expect them to give them out if they find them. So get yourself a copy of Goldwave and Cool Edit (2000 or Pro) and experiment for yourself, with pitching, editing and flanging. That's all the advice I can give. 8)) |
