question about gold (on the website)

i've noticed that therez a "gold" amount in which my name posesses. I just was wonder what specifically gives you gold. (posts, replys, etc) i was just asking cause i have like 460 some and i kinda had an idea where it came from but not exactly :)

a kinda detailed reply would be nice but i'm not asking for all that much
