Would these precious gems fit in the game? One's about 112 polys. ![]() |

Or maby just use them as icon of an item? |

Reduce the polycount!? Are you crazy? It's only 112 polys! BTW, they are cool. I bet a lot of people would like some gems for their maps. Heck, I'd like those. GJ :D |

You would have to make a new texture for them, since warcraft 3 doesn't support any kinds of raytracing of refraction/reflection materials, though i know a nice tequniqe to make the look very nice without this. |

Yeah, thats obvious. What kind does it support? |

hmmm....only diffuse...yeah...diffuse only =P There IS a plug in however that is able to "inject" raytracing etc effect sin the texture itself so the diffuse map looks the same as when it had raytracin or other stuff applied on it (www.turbosquid.com => Kaldera plugin?). Of course, that is a commercial version; otherwise you might have to do the following: clone the mesh of the gem and make it larger give the larger mesh a copy of the original material with modulate x2 the smaller one should have additive or blend (full alpha) material It SHOULD give the same effect of the one at the ziggurats |

dude those gems are awesome!!!!:D though they would be kinda small.... but do you know where i can get some of those? |

OOoooo..... Pwetty sparklies... They would make great bonus' for special maps, such as an objective where you have to collect all of the crystals. EDIT: Brainwave. High value pickups. You can pick them up from monsters and each one is of varying "resale" worth and chance of getting! Simple, no? |

Rpg-style gemstones. They'd fit into a dwarf mine too :) |

Well, still have to change the textures and then I could export it. Too bad, kaldera costs 400 USD. :( |
