hi there, now me and my cousin are going to start a new campaign about the dreadlords! it starts a little before RoC but it is the dreadlords that is the "head" team... ok, history:
The Burning legion is sending the dreadlords to northrend to control ner zul... when the dreadlords come to northrend a small band of dreadlords breake out from the rest and start a nice little civil war against the burning legion (theyre not on the good side, they just want some power)... and so on. So what do you think of it?????

ok, we need a modeler, mapper, and trigger(?)... maybe a skinner too, but otherwise, i can skin...

EDIT: it looks like it will be renamed to Fury of the Nathrezim

It's an ok idea, but needs work. Also mostly the burning legion is scattered and destroyed after TFT so you may want to consider that.

When you get a solid plot and storyline down i'll consider joining as a terrainer.

As his confusion and depression deepened, Sargeras was forced to contend with another group intent on disrupting the Titans' order. The Nathrezim, a dark race of vampiric demons (also known as Dread Lords) set out to conquer a populated world by possessing its inhabitants and turning them to the shadow. The nefarious, scheming Dread Lords had turned whole nations against one another by manipulating them through unthinking hatred and mistrust. Though Sargeras defeated the Nathrezim easily, their corruption affected him deeply.

It sure is a good start to spell their name wrong :ggani:

I dont really know. Do you have some real plans for your campaign? And about the plot... Why are the Dreadlords turning against their masters. I know they are a cunning and power hungry race, but I think they get enough power by following their master.

Well they can't do what they want, and if they do 1 singel thing that is not orderd they are decapitated.

Why does evreyone think the Burning Legion was destroyed because of the events within RoC and TFT? The way I read the timeline was:

- Kil'Jaeden contacts Ner'Zhul either telepathically or through the Twisting Nether, teaches the orcs necromancy and warlock magics, and lets them loose on Azeroth (under Sargeras' orders).
- Sargeras is driven out of Medivh's body, which disappears for reasons unknown.
- The Legion loses its grip on the Horde. Kil'Jaeden makes up for it with Ner'Zhul's spirit, which he imprisons in a crystal which magnifies the ex-shaman's psionic and necromantic powers.
- Enough power is gathered to start creating portals to the Twisting Nether again (originally too much of the magic was near enough Dalaran to be monitered by the Order of Tirisfal, but the loss of the Guardian line has left them crippled), and the Dreadlords are assigned as keepers of the Scourge, which is raised by Kil'Jaeden's new toy.
- Kel'Thazad harnesses the energy to summon Archimonde fully into Azeroth, who brings with him various forces of the Legion using his natural power. Archimonde proceeds to wreck Lordaeron while gathering the power to teleport his armies directly to Kalimdor.
- The Legion, complimented by the Scourge, arrives at Kalimdor, wreaking havoc on its way to the World Tree.
- The Night Elves sacrifice the World Tree to destroy Archimonde in a flash of magic. The Legion on Azeroth crumbles, and falls back on the Scourge. The current whereabouts of Archimonde, and his state of being, are left unknown.
- The Scourge goes rogue on the Legion, creating a civil war on Azeroth between the Dreadlords and the Lich King's loyal retainers.
- Kil'Jaeden finds a new vassal for the Legion's will, Illidan, who begins regathering those who were once loyal to the Legion as night elves (now satyrs and naga). Also recruits the blood elves and draenei, most of whom are unaware of Illidan's alliegance to the Legion.

In conclusion, I would like to put down a two things I think most people either overlook or disagree with me on.
- Sargeras is not dead, and has never brought his full power to bear on Azeroth. This demon stands at deity status in Warcraft (on equal footing with Elune, in my opinion), and could not simply be put to the sword.
- The full force of the Legion had never been brought to Azeroth; it's numbers are too great to comprehend, and would require tremendous power. If either Sargeras or the full Legion had harnessed the energy to enter Azeroth, the world would have been doomed.

Now, pertaining directly to your campaign, I think the focus would have to be changed, if we go by the information I have gathered (which some may disagree with). Perhaps instead of being the first envoy to Draenei, the rogue Nathrezim simply tricked some warlocks into summoning them as thralls (much like the Doom Guards were in wc1) and slew them upon arriving, then use the power of the Warlocks' deaths to summon other rogue demons. They may then have use their natural energies to continue creating portals for even greater demons to come through. Also, if the Burning Legion and Sargeras are as powerful as I claim, then open revolt was probably not the true goal. Perhaps, instead, they planned to subvert Ner'Zhul and the orcs for their own gain, and lock off the Twisting Nether for races other than themselves, like the way Illidan tried to escape Kil'Jaeden by conquering Outland.

Feel free to correct me in my arguement (or timeline) wherever you find error or fault.
