Anyway I could have the missle art go straight through the units and still damage them, instead of it exploding on impact?

if you use tft maybe you could change the buff?

I think it's hard coded.

I know I'm sort of reviving a dead post, but yeah that could work... is there a way to remove the blood-splash on impact, though?

The Bloodsplash is an effect.. you should change or remove it from the ability.
