Why can't i walk on my tables?

I'm trying to do a dock, and i resized "Tables" to make the bridge of them. They're placed in the water, and I checked the "Walkable" thing for them, but still, I can't walk on them. Why?

Umm.. dunno. I didn't think things would work like that, though it sounds like they should. Anyhoo, use the invisible bridge doodad (hold shift when placing) to make it appear like you're walkign on the table. Just position the little boxes over the table's surface and vwa-la.
