Well, I've completely re-done the whole idea. And added a lot to it. I hope that now there will be some people interested in joining the team. Basically the map that we're building is a huge Open RPG with more to it than most Open RPG's. A lot of open rpg's you find are boring, all you do is level up and kill things. What we are trying to do is introduce something, realistic, and possible. Diplomacy. Our terrain is built off of this, there are 18 "areas". Four of these we are using as "Pre-built bases", these are the four main races of the map, (see "races" for more info). After these four bases there are fourteen areas we are calling "Designated Construction Locations". These are areas where "races" (see races for more info) can build a base and thrive. Races: There are twelve races planned for the game currently. What's really cool about our system, is that the races do not just, survive and exist, they live. The diplomatic relations of the twelve races or constantly changing. At some points in the game, sudden AOS's will suddenly start happening between two bases. The loser loses his base and either temporraily "dissapears" or you will find that a new base of this race appears elsewhere on the map. What's most important about all this is that races make "decisions". If you are an evil hero, and you ask them if you can join their side, and they are not evil, they will probably not let you join their side in an AOS. Small things like this add taste to the map. Heroes: Obviously this map isnt only about the races that live on the map, its mostly about you the player. Each hero will be of one of the major races (dragon, human, elf, undead), they will then have six spells based as follows: 3 6 level spells, 2 4 level spells, 1 two level spell. All spells will be custom with plenty of extra sfx's. All heroes will also have a "second form" that becomes available when you get your final spell at level two (so that its a challenge to get there and find your second form) second forms will be custom models with custom skins. They will also have only four spells, but all will be very powerful. There will be a save/load code, but you cannot save or load a final level hero. The terrain is nothing special, unless somebody wants to help us with it. Otherwise it will be pretty average terrain, the cities are what is important to us, and most of all the gameplay. We will have some screenshots of in-game play soon (mostly spells). If you're interested in helping us, we mostly need a terrain refiner, skinners, modelers and any very experienced triggers who are up to the challenge of making the hundreds of triggers this iwll require. -icehunter, icedevil, tassadar [email protected] syzygy998 on aim |
