Has the avatar incident reduced your opinion of the admins/mods?

Okay, the admins/mods decided to remove the damn custom avatars and put a new avatar ladder system. I hate it, and most people hate it. Only the mods seem to like it (i mean, thats why they are mods right? yesmen :8 ) because "it shows reputation". Look, most of us have lives, we arent going to sit here 24/7 just to become popular and get a custom avatar. We are here to discuss wc3! I mean did you not think that this small thing would cause so much contraversy?

well, i dont see why they did it, but then again i dont see why people have such a problem with it either. its only a picture next to your name, cant we all just get along?

My biggest problem with the new system is that with standard custom avatars, they actually serve a purpose in making it easier to identify the poster. Now, they're annoying pictures that I'm already sick of looking at due to everyone having the same ones.

It's not only a picture next to someones name, it is the identity that people give themselves to distinguish themselves as an individual. Without custom Avatars, Poeple will feel as if they are being told what to look like. I myself do not like any of the avatars the moderrator's have given for choice.

The admins choose everything... The avatar ladder is good, because once it is enabled, it will allow you to distinguish noobs from helpful members.



If you had a life, you wouldn't care about a damn 150x150 pixel image on an online forum.


Contrevoursey, eh? Look, this is no democracy. It is a monarcy of admins, as every other forum on the net is. It is their choice, and in a REAL monarchy, you would be hanged ^_~


Uhh, you have always been told what to do, no matter where you live. I will block the "what about the US" example, by stating, that if you run naked and rape little girls, you will be punished, which blocks the fact that anything in the world is free. As for expressing yourself, its called a SIGNATURE!


Once it is inplace, there will be a sh1tload more avatars... jebus cripes, use your SIG..

I think B.N is sort of right, it just is kinda lame that they get there custom avatars and we dont, STRIP THEM OF THERE AVATARS! plus im tired of looking at all of the ugly critters, but i guess it only ticks me off a lil

They run the site, and pay for it, i believe. They desirve, atleast, a custom icon... do something HELPFUL! Apparently, if you arent a noob or greedy selfish guy, you can get one, soon (its an undetirmined amount of points; points being based off of dl section/tuts/etc)

While I miss custom icons, losing respect/thinking less of the mods over this is... um, no.

If this forum isn't your life, I suggest you ease up a bit.
