Uhm... I made this concept for abilites and I need someone to test them because I don't exactly understand how they work... and if they even work properly. So I need someone who has played Final Fantasy before so they could tell me how limit breaks work and if my system is correct... o_O |

Limit Breaks pretty much activated only when the characters health was in the extreme lows, and they usually were only usable by luck. I remember letting myself get hit over and over just to see Squall's (that was his name, I think) sweet limit breaks. :D Good fun. |

OK, maybe this was different in different final fatasies, but in VII you had a limit break bar that filled up when you took damage. It didn't matter how high your HP bar was due to healing, once your limit bar filled up you got the limit break. You could have a nearly filled limit break bar from previous fights and get it filled up the first time an enemy attacked you (poor poor enemy). The amount filled with each attack was relative to the number of damage taken, but I think that more powerfull attacks gave you MUCH more limit break. I remember one boss, when nearly dead, used his super attack; it nearly killed my characters, but it also totally filled up their limit breaks. Poor poor boss. Anyway, don't know if it was any different in other FF games... |
