Ok I need a lot of ideas. So far the face is the only thing that is near done. I focused mainly on it. I was inspired by the guy from Spawn(black guy with the skull painted on his face with guns) I dont remember his name. He kinda looks like Venom and Bane aswell. I just did the base for the skin the details and shading will come after. Concept: Grim Reaperish. Make it black and gold. Ideas: I need help on what to do heres some ideas feel free to give comments and TELL ME WHAT TO DO!!!! - buckles around him like belts. - I though maybe stiching like my other skins. - Keep it similar to this but with more of a copper color and looked aged, bloody etc. Dont rate the skin it isnt complete. Umm did you read my post at all? I said it's only the base I need help on what to detail it. I only did the 1st layers of skin. |

Hrm.. interesting choice of a base skin, I never really pictured the Beastmaster as being anything dark and gloomy, but I suppose it would be a nice change from all the grim reaper Medivhs running around. I'll have to stay tuned and see how you develop this one, Mock1. :) I like the 2nd face better (the lower one), it seems much meaner and more determined. I am not sure about this, but do you suppose some blood red runes like the ones in the doodads would look appealing on his axe and and golden parts of his armor? Black ones might work too... (I think.) And of course he'll need some superbly attractive design (a skull? deaths head moth or something? I'm not in an original state of mind today, sorry) on the back of his cloak, if the bestmaster model allows for that. I do agree on the bloody part though, but don't overdo it! - Lazurus |

the yellow is too bright and it stands out alot... make it darker gold, that will fit more i guess... and the body is indeed kinda plain, adding of plates or some scars will help |

Does anyone read the post before posting? |

Give me decent crits like laz. In the end I'll just be doing it myself at this rate. Lazurus: It is the same face. Just different angles. What do you mean by a design? What should i put on the cape thingy? Maybe like face of ghost but faded? Quote:

Ah, crap, I thought they were two different faces. Just goes to show how naive I am. Oooh, I like the idea of a ghostly face, or perhaps a faded skull on the back of his cape. Do you think a ghostly skeletal hand print would look alright as well? I think his shoulder pads might go with the skin more if you made the spikes look dark and ebony too... hrm... It is just an opinion, but I think you might want to stray away from stitching on this skin, Mock1. It looked great on the Undead Archmage's cape, but I can't really see something like that on a Grim Reaper type of character. Who knows though? Perhaps you can get it to look good. - Lazurus |

Make the body much darker, so that the face and the gold stands out, and don't add stiches or blood. Nice start :D |

sorry, i only read the first half of it... well, for one, the borders on the gold should be darker and blend more with the rest of the skin instead of just a direct change of color (redo your color layers using one of the brushes with the blurry edges on airbrush) which would help it a bit. Try adding platemail gold on the fronts of the shins (end at kneecap level?) and add some designs to the gold (or make it into plates) Also, try to make the face just a tad bit smoother. hope it helps. |

Update did the gold stuff again and added runes. Should I take more cloth off and add more skin or armor? I didnt touch his cape thing yet what do you guys think I should do with it? |

Hrm.. well, I like the way the red runes on the arms turned out, it looks kinda cool. For the rest... ehh... I don't think the rune idea turned out as well. For his middle section, the cloth looks kind of odd as a thin piece of gold with runes on it, so I might recommend chaning it into a black cloth of gold outlinings or something, and perhaps one minor symbol in the middle, like one of the ghostly image ideas you had, but I don't think a rune would look well on that area, since it calls attention to all the wrong places. :) Overall, I think it would be interesting to see more of the ghostly pale marble skin showing on this guy.. (Imagine a huge glowing red rune on his chest, or something lile that?) but then again I also have a feeling he'd look better with more black cloaky sections, but the pale white skin definately makes him more interesting to look at. :) For the axes, do you think making them pure ebony black and then adding some gold and / or purple runic symbols would work, or maybe just skulls? Speaking of which, the gloves in gold with runes just doesn't seem to work very well also, and I'd advise a change. The golden belt might work, and so might the golden parts of the shoes, and as for the golden shoulder plate.. hrm.. it looks okay as it is, but do you think something different could be done with it? I think the instant drop down from the plate to his arm might prevent this, but can you fashion it to look like he has some three horned dragon skull or something on his shoulder? At any rate, you might also try to see how black spikes might look, I like the segmented effect they have though, it looks unique. :) Keep up the good work! - Lazurus |
