fog

WTFish
Hmm I was wondering, with fog it seems to only show density with the camera rather than certain heights. For example, a map with no normally visible fog but when the terrain is lowered to a certain amount then it would be seen in the valley. Also fog seems to conform to the terrain, I managed to make something where the further away your camera is, the lighter it is, and the closer, the darker. However things that stick up higher are also dark for some reason. I had a small valley filled with fog, but had a castle sticking up which also had fog on it.

If anyone could help me I would be grateful

Ok I will try and be specific as well as having some screen shots.

With this fog, I set the z start to 1000 and z end to 5000

This is what it should look like from the shallow water

However with the same values when you are in deep water it looks like this

Which is much too light.

With this other fog, I set the z start to 7000 and z end to 0

This is perfect for what it should look like in deep

However, take a look at what it looks like when you are in shallow water. The ship is bright blue as I explained in the previous post

Hopefully someone can help

ok i get it now.....you want it to look dark in the bottom of the ocean and light from the top.......not sure thats possible.... though if its for a cinematic you can change the values with triggers.... :D
