It would be a shame if it wasnt, especially with the new (hopefully) less inflated point system, ratings would be worth more. Its just a nice way to reward helpfull posts, great screenies or whatever. |

Well I honestly wouldn't care... it didn't really make any impact on the site as a whole, IMO, and I didn't really pay any attention to it. |

I'm pretty sure it will be back sooner or later. |

Acording to the thread of those avatars the rating could be considerd as the reputation of someone. I could be wrong here though, I'm not fully awake yet :p |

Yea if someone rates your posts, as well as giving a points bonus, its should add say 20 "posts" to what determines your avatar level. If ratings were made worth a lot of points (but limited so that a person could only rate someone else say once a month, and can only rate a maximum of 5 people a month, that would keep spamming/abuse in check. If the ratings were worth something, then people would be using it quite a bit more. |

The rating system we had just before the Upgrade would be best... it benefits the artists corner the most. icbm1987 |

I'm not sure if the ratings will come back now... if they do, how will it help? When we had the old point system it gave more points but now the points will be given diffrent, what would the rating system do? |

I don't know... but now that we don't get points for posts... we should still get points when people rate our attachments... It would make an incentive for people to make more/better art and models. icbm1987 |

Yup. And lets people spam rating people in the Arts Section, giving the guy who made the art rich ^_^. I've seen it happen twice. |

Its their work.. they deserve something for posting it... and who did you see it happen to? Jac? she was saving to buy modelling help and has posted a hell of a lot of art... she deserved those points. There's no such thing as spam rating you fool, it's all deserved. icbm1987 |

No, it wasn't Jac. It was more like, um. Erwtenpeller? And I say spam as in: Keep doing the same thing over and over and over again... yeah. |

He doesn't draw the same things multiple times... and he wasn't abusing the system... what are you talking about? The people in the artist forum are of a very high caliber... And you couldn't rate things multiple times... so there was no "rate spamming". icbm1987 |

If the new points system is less inflated, then a rate would be much more usefull, especially if limitations were imposed, so people wouldnt spam it constantly. This would also make it more "valuable" so that it would only really be used for helpfull people, or exceptional art. |

tell me... how can you spam a rate? People only deserve a rate of below 2 if their art should never even have been posted. I don't see where this rating abuse comes from. icbm1987 |

Argh, I knew I should've reworded it. I meant, people who go and rate every picture in the gallery for no absolute reason, or because "YOU ROXXORS DUDE!!!11oneoneeleven" or because they felt like it or because they had a good reason to. |
