Well, i first began thinking to make a mod or something but i saw DOC and i just said the hell with that! So now what i want to start is a real Story. Written out in chapters and everything. For every chapter or key part we would make a maby 3-5 min cinematic to give the reader some help in his or her imagination. I'm a REAL laid back guy and so i' looking for laid back people for help. Meaning people who have a great imagination but pretty easy going, since i got a problem with procrastinating. What we'll be doing is we'll all be involed in writting the story, putting our ideas together while still retaining the main idea of the story intact. Drawing maps, characters, etc, so peoples eyes wont hurt looking only at letters. Making the cinematics is a big part we all got to help out in. And your basic skinning and modeling(very unlikely since it's easier to make a cinematic then model). The story will be called "Blood of Kings". It will mainly invole Elves, Orcs, Nathrezim, Burning Legion and a new race called the People of Kaban(name could change). Everything revoles around WC rules, cause in this story the elves are the banished decendents of the Night elves or as i like to call them High Elves. You could say it's the story of Dath'Remar after he took his kin from the lands of Kalimdor. Then it goes on to his children, and that's when the story picks up. Especially his last son, Zephon(name could change). Well here's the what i got so far, a WIP skin and 1/3 a chapter, dont expect it to make much sense right now. If your intrested I'll give ya more info. Blood Of Kings Intro While I surveyed my surroundings I realized something, life hasn't changed at all. Everyone is still fighting for nothing, still dying like they used to, so much blood has been spilt and they can't leave the hatred behind. I'm through waiting, my patience has left me. I have lost too much and gained too little, for all my loyalty I only received despair. This world continues to fail me, and what's worse I failed to protect her. "We cannot linger here, we must continue." His voice echoed in my head, it had become louder and clearer since the merging. Night seems to follow me everywhere I go. I couldn't remember when last I saw day. "Yes I know, do you have any idea where we are now." -I said "No, but we have no time to waste. If there's a way in then there's a way out. We must find the Dimensional Crystal. -The voice said "These ruins.......I've never seen anything like them, have you?" I heard no reply; I looked up and began to explore this new world. These ruins, just like the rest of the area looked derelict....lifeless. The clouds above had gathered and showed signs of a coming storm, with no more delay I walked towards what were obviously the entrance to the forgotten sanctuary. The massive door was broken; it seemed to have been done so by some form of creature. What had plagued this world so long ago; the architects of this place where obviously trying to keep something out. As I stepped into the main hall to investigate more when a sharp pain slashed into my mind! My knees weaken........and the pain increased, the feeling of a thousand blades burring themselves into every one of my thoughts was unbearable. "Not.....again! Don't lose control.......don't lose control!" -I repeated to myself as I struggled to keep conciseness. The voice had changed into a more cenacle and evil voice, one full of hate. "How can you lose something you never had? Ha ha ha ha ha." He had never been vanquished, he had always been here. In me.....Mal'destined the Forsaken the one who brought a Thousand Flames, and turned my home to ashes. Chapter 1 one I awoke to the sounds of birds. The sun was just coming out of its slumber and its light was slowly spilling into my room with such grace, I couldn't bring myself to get out of bed. I lay there, letting my thoughts melt away. It had been a long time since I had been stationed here, off the southern coast. My father had given me the honor of patrolling the coast to ensure that Aura's great Empire was not threaten by the wretched tribes of the Keleen Islands. There where no threats here. Just forest and sky, the great wars had come and gone long ago. Only the memories that the ruins give still keep the legends of old in our thoughts. I walked barefoot into the next room and through it onto the balcony. The sun had not yet risen high enough to be seen directly above. "My lord, you are awake. I will prepare your things." "Thank you Landel, has there been any reports from the front?" "No sir." "Of course not...." "But there is a letter for you from Aurora, it seems... "Aurora! We haven't received any news from the palace in some time. Where is it?" "Right here my lord; I have lay your attire on the bed. Will there be anything else?" "No, thank you. You may leave." I didn't hear Landel leave the room, all my attention was focused on the sealed letter in my hands. Two years......I have not heard anything from the Palace in two years. Out side my men where just finishing their daily fencing. As I entered the courtyard I could feel the sun on my face, the morning had seemed to have past rather quickly. The wind was blowing in from the west and the leaves of the towering trees where falling in colors of satin red and golden yellow. The year was coming to an end, just as all the others did and yet this year I felt uneasy. The letter had been nothing more than a few lines and still, my heart had sunk while my eyes revealed to me the message. “His highness, the emperor of Aura, demands an audience with you. Lord Zephon, high captain of the southern forces of Aura. You are ordered to arrive in the city of Aurora, and report to the Royal palace immediately. His highness wanted an audience with me? I knew the emperor, and this was no invitation. “My lord, what news from the north? Daniel, my friend through many dangers, had heard of the letter. I turned and replied: “Get Lt. Amaras and tell him to get his men prepared and my horse ready to go. We have a long trip ahead of us. I had no time to waste. The Emperor is not one to keep waiting. “Yes sir! But may I ask, what does Aurora have to say after all these years? The men have been talking about it ever since the rider delivered the letter. Daniel's words faded in my mind as quickly as they where spoken, I continued walking forwards and only by chance caught the last words Daniel said to me before I entered the barracks. “I see. The base was not the most lavish establishment crafted by the elves but it served its purposes without flaw. It lay right between the night forests of Heaven and the southern shore, nestled deep in the trees. It is said that this base was built before the War of a Thousand Flames and served as the turning point of the war. Considering its age, it's no wonder most of the trees surrounding the complex have taken up root covering the walls and buildings. It resembles ruins more than a base. Looking over the courtyard that was the heart of our home was a large statue. A mage who defied all possibilities expectations and even dreams, by doing what was thought to be impossible. He was the first of us to be blessed by our beloved goddess, our Queen, Azshara. RumaN the legendary mage who reached the unimaginable rank of White mage and with his power banished the dark warlock who gave my people a year of sorrow and death. He was my brother, but when the time came he was called upon to make the ultimate sacrifice. I was only an infant when he restored Aura to its former glory, only a handful of memories remain of him in my thoughts. What he did in life never affected me in any way; it is what he represents in death that haunts my every step. His statue only reminds me of the shadow that was unintentionally but now immovable, set on me. I would not feel the full wait of what was expected of me for some time. Now I was only concerned with the agenda at hand. The road to Aurora was a long one, we would have to |

Seems pretty good... but it's a *story* and not a campaign? Ok, I'll let it be here as I suppose it's the only area of the forum it belongs to. I've a feeling Dath'remar will be covered in the last War of the Ancients triology coming out (The WarCraft novels being done by Richard Knaak about the start of the world of Azeroth and the first invasion), but that's a while away - the first book is only due out soon - and you can always change it should something happen. Good luck with it then. 8)) |
