Annnny way. I have just started a map with a western setting. Basically you play a bounty hunter who travels around killing and catching badies, building up a posey and doing jobs for people.

I have terrained the first town, the first bad guy (bandit) camp for you to kill and a plantation that get's overan by slaves. First you gotta kill the slaves but there is an interesting twist. Much more to come of course.

I was wondering if anyone would play it?

Why would someone want to build up a posey? ;)

It is far more complicated then that, I would put up a better description of it but I've found that some of the people here are idea pinchers. I remember ages ago I posted something about an AoS campaign, everyone said it sounded different and good. I cam back in a month or so and there were two or three threads avout AoS campaigns.

A posey is a group of bounty hunters, well that's what they usta call them anyway. I want this map to be tough (it's single player) and I can't make it that complicated or too difficult if you only have one hero. But then again maybe I can.

A campaign eh? Good to hear :) I like campaigns :D
Anyway, it still didn't really attracted my attention with what you've told until now. You might want to think through the entire story and then start working on it :) Or try to create a team of people (or just 1) who can easily think of a story (someone like me :P as example)

Make it more like a story... Fx You're a bounty hunter who has been sent to hunt a bandit who has stolen something... And then you meet some other guys on the way :D

Thats right you cant make a map where you yust hunt for bad guys and make money and stuff that could be also a Battle net map . Put some story , the Hero must have a reason why to travell . Make something original , like combine the normal RPG story line with a western (Will there be any magic in the campaign?)

Ever played Desperados?

sounds a bit like that, which I love playing, but it won't run right anymore... the screen flicker/flashes constantly (during gameplay only I think, not menus). I'd be interested, and if anyone can help me with Desperados, a pm conversation in AIM, or mIRC, etc would be great :)

Ok, I have started it as a single player map but I am re-doing it as a battle.net map. This is sort of hard to explain but I am modeling this on 'the good, the bad and the ugly' arguably one of the best westerns, I would say ever. At the beginning you pick your characters, there are all the characters from the movie (Blondey, Durgan, angel eyes) along with others like the outlaw, cow girl (why not?) etc (15 all up).

You do jobs for people and so fourth for a while allowing you to buy items, pack mules, various pets. Then after I dunno 15-20 minutes it runs a cinematic for every player. Depicting a cart with info about the $200 000 cash box. Then I will allow the players to change their allies so they can pull all sorts of nasty tricks to get their hands on the money. I plan to change the way it spawns so that if you've played it once you can't just wait for it to apear and win the game.

I want to make it so the whole map is cash dependant as it somewhat was in those days. For example: instead of learning skills you have to be trained in them before you can start adding levels to them. Meaning that doing jobs and getting cash in the begging will be necissary.

I hope that sheds some light on what i am doing, and i'd like to hear what you think. :D
