Guest | The only buttons I cant think of, are the ones to the right of the screen, like hero spells. But I don't see how they could be reffered to as dialog, buttons. I hear the max was 6, now it's 12... doesn't sound like the things at the right to me..... what are they? |

I've been wondering the same thing. People keep talking about them and I've been trying to follow what they've been saying but I just can't understand since I don't even know what they are exactly! |

Dialogs are pretty straightforward. You know the menu you get when you press f10? Thats an example of a dialog with buttons. The little box that pops up when you win in melee and says continue or quit? That's a dialoge too. You can make your own with custom buttons and whatnot. |

Dialog buttons are like when you pull up the game's menu, where you can chose to edit options, restart map, quit, change sound, and other things. But the dialog buttons you can program in the map can do almsot anything you want. They can become complicated and very fustrating. Do a search on this fourm for Dialog Buttons there are a few map samples. Some use custom text because dialog arrays do not work as events, weaaddar's dialog tester III uses all custom text, but is a great example of dialog buttons. If you do not understand custom text, you can check out my sloppy code written without using custom text. Guest | You can also use mine. I just finish it this day 11/10/02 night. It is easy. Straight and Fit. :D But i know there is 1 bug I can't be able to fix. Is about the weather. Don't put 2 at same time. This is what you need to do for weather. Select 1 weather then goto the on and off button. Select on. If you want another 1 goto the on and off place but click it off this time. Then select another weather and blah blah. Otherwise 1 well be stuck and well be there forever. The fog can be seen at night. |
