Ok, I'm pretty sure that this has been done before, but I am thinking of making an Alchemy system. Please vote above if this sounds good or not. The entire system is done with Dialog Menus. The types of Alchemy are Healing Alchemy Offensive Alchemy Revivatory Alchemy Elemental Alchemy Ultimate Alchemy Now, each of the Alchemy levels has a Level 1, 2, 3, 4, mix ability. They also each have 4 types of abilities that instantly create a certain item. For example, when you first get Healing Alchemy, it displays the following. Healing Alchemy Level 1 MIX Create Potion As for Ultimate Alchemy, you must go on your own side quests, and gain the strongest Alchemy items. Please vote and tell me if I should go through with this or not. Please add or make any comments as well. |

Sort of, but done with Dialog Menus, and the stronger items are much harder to get. |

First take alook at darky27's version of the spell if you already havent at www.wc3sear.ch Secondly are you going to base your alchemy off of traditional alchemy, potion brewing, Full Metal Alchemist style (for the otakus out there) or a mixture of them? Thirdly is it a single spell for a hero or his entire set. i'm sorry for being picky but knowing these kind of things sometimes help. Right now i will just list some potion ideas: healing: Elixer of Life - gives the target a reincarnation buff Fairy Draught - potion of fairy water, when used increased mana regen offensive: Holy Water - damages undead or heals allies (holy light) Bottle Fire (Blue Fire) - when used a wave of blue flames slowly spread out from user. Hide (iron potion) - gives the user metal skin. ++defence, +magic immunity, +hp regen, -attack speed, - walk speed misc: Philosopher's Potion - use on item chests to turn them to gold coins. based on the traditional studie of alchemy Dwarven Whisky :D - temporaily gives the druken boxer ability i dont advise having elemental as its own category because all elemental skills would fit in the others. also revivatory will fit in healing. maybe a status type |

Don't know if this helps, but each person gets an ENTIRE Alchemy set starting with: Offensive Alchemy Level 1 Healing Alchemy Level 1 Revivatory Alchemy Level 1 Everything above that must be gained and won from levels and sidequests. |

for those who dont know: Traditional alchemy is also known as early chemistry but is looked down upon by scientists because it was mainly about looking for the elixer of life (immortality) and philosopher's stone (lead --> gold) Since it is chemistry mixing and making potions was part of it Full Metal Alchemist is a Japanese Anime with alchemy being used as a type of spellcraft. And for those who think lead to gold is farfetched it is theoretically possible. lead is just 2 protons short of gold so if you could some how add 2 protons to each lead atom you would get gold. (a little off topic but while on the subject...) some more potions:{+ means increased} Thunder Water - charges the user so any melee unit who attacks it becomes stunned. Spirit Medium - casts banish on the user, +mana regen Vodka - clears all buffs, +attack speed Pebble Soup - turns user to stone, ++defence, +hp regen, +mana regen, magic immunity, no attack, no movement Raw Adrenaline - max vision, max speed, max attack speed, after effect wears off slow movement, slow attack speed Ent Draught - increases size, attack, +100 hp |

Cool link, do you have one to a save system? |

If you want a code-based save system, use the one from Final Fantasy Open RPG BETA. Budgie doesn't mind. I'll post it here when I get on my other computer. |
