I just got a hold of 3ds Studio Max 4.2 and the tutorial section went bang! Can someone please explain how to add the hero glow to me in detail... I am a newb with modelling. |

you dont need 3dsmax to add hero glow, you can do it with mdl editing, i'm not sure how but theres a few tuts in the forums on the subject. |

thanks anyway, but i didnt have to edit anything i just used cookie's hero glow pack with a few simple triggers the hero glow changes colour depending on what player you are. |

Actually, if I read the tutorial right, you make a material, composed of 2 layers. One is the skin, and one is the black and white. Black lets team color through the skin, and white is transparent. There is more detailed information in the "Warcraft 3 Art Tools Documentation" file. I am also pretty sure you can do it with alpha channel on adobe, but I don't know much about that, but it is a possiblity if you can't get the other way to work. |

lol i dint even notice there was a glow on the weapon, shows how much ive been playing ^_^ |

i guess ill just use the base glow until cookie's weapon glow pack comes out :D . |
