Okay so i understand how an animated texture works though the only example i've seen is WrapHeight and WrapWidth which in my idea wraps the ENTIRE model, i want to be able to assign sections though there is no visible material ID to me. Anyone want to take a try at it? |

This is one of the things that i understand 0 about... Where do you see wrap hight and wrap width? I have no clue how to make animated textures at all... |

hmmm what are you talking about? if you want to have sections without the animated texture, and if they are the same mesh, it is impossible, but you can always split the mesh into two seperate geosets(well not really seperate since in mdl editing you can size down parts by moving their vertices and so they will not be visible) or you are not talking about this? please specify your question... |

Dont quite get your point...If I understand it correctly you want to wrap only at a certain segment of your model (like animated liquid at the control rods of a cannon). This should be easy though (assign a new material that is animated on the new segment and use regular on the non animated) but still.....what was your point... or question...? |

sry, for example the peasant model has 2 important mesh's, the arms and head mesh, then the torso and legs mesh. Lets say i want to aplpy an animated texture to just the arms and head mesh, i would usually give a static texture ID but i notice that for animated textures i can only WrapHeight, WrapWidth *aka the entire model* Does that help? |

errrr......doesnt mater...as long as the mesh with the materialid is matching the one with animated texture, then its fine....still have absolutely no clue what youre talking about but im certain your at the wrong end (which means you can have it your way) |

i think he wants the animated textures on the head only, but the head is in the same mesh of the body, so he wants to know how to make it that only the head has... well i explained it... |

i think i answered my own question :) thanks though, what i wanted to do is okay, lets say this, lets pretend i have a model, this model is made up of 5 different geosets. A head geoset, a torso geoset, a left arm geoset, and a right arm geoset, then a pair of legs geoset, Lets say i want to wrap only 1 geoset in my animated texture. Though the material for an animated texture goes like this Quote:

okay i tried giving a peasant the water elemental animated skin, cept i applied the animated skin to just 1 of the geosets. Then whenever i try to view my skin WE closes...... Its quite frustrating.... It says theres been an error in WE, Heres everything i did to the peasant, first the global sequences. Quote:

Globalseq id is incorrect, and Im certain that the peasant has more globalseq ids then none Where is the tvertanim sequence btw? withut it, it doesnt really move around the uv wrap. Otherwise remove the tvertanimsid |
