EDIT- I have another question lol. I have two raise dead spells. Raise Skeletons-using raise dead spell. Lv1-Raises 2 skeletons Lv2-Raises 1 Orc Skeleton Lv3-Raises 1 Berserk Orc Skeleton Lv4-Raises 1 Grunt Skeleton Lv5-Raises 1 Berserk Grunt Skeleton Lv6-Raises 1 Orc Champion Skeleton Lv7-Raises 1 Orc Leuteniant Skeleton ---------------------------------------- Raise Minions-using the carrion spell. Lv1-Raises 1 Lessor Dark Minion Skeleton Lv2-Raises 1 Dark Minion Skeleton Lv3-Raises 1 Greater Dark Minion Skeleton How do i set like in order to get this lvl? ability you must have the lvl? ability of another. Like say in order to get a Berserk Orc Skeleton you must 1st have a lessor dark minion ability. and later to get the berserk grunt skeleton you must have the dark minion skeleton researched for you hero. and then to get leutinent skeleton orc you must have greater dark minion done, and one last question lol. How do i make a regular unit have an ability that can level up with the cost of gold without triggers. Orc Luetinant- Ability is Raise Mage Lv1-Skeleton Mage Lvl2-Enchanted Mage Lv3-Masterful Mage And to get to level two you click upgrade mage and deducts 200 gold if you dont have enought gold then it wont work. then for lvl3 you pay 400. basicly i think i would need to add an upgrade to the unit. how can i add an upgrade button in the unit like spells. without triggers. EDIT-Ok i figured out how, i just made the orc into a building to have the upgrades but when you upgrade, the unit cant move or attack. |

i dont think it is possible without triggers but the good thing is you could copy a folder full of triggers and paste it. if youre doing it with triggers i think it would be like this: when unit [skeleton] attacks set variable X to number if number > 0 add number amount of hp to bob andset X to 0 |

lol problem is i dont know how to even do a trigger or where it is and theres going to be more than 1 bob because my hero raises bob from the dead lol. so there can be like 1 or 10 or more bobs. But what i meant was each individual bob. Like the only skeletons that will heal bob when they attack is the bob that raised them. im also having trouble with something else too. I need a second raised dead to only raise dead heros. Like dead hero corpses. But I don't know how to do that either. Hoping no triggers needed or maybe if it is minumum. |

Use an array. variable[(number of units in unit-group(variable)+1] Or so... so you can store all the bob's separately. This is a decently large trigger you're going to need, though. |

i dont mind but next time make a new thread or new post cause it makes it difficult for people to follow the logic. you will have to use triggers. since you cant put requirements on levels one way i could think of is this: Have 1 spell for first 2 levels. for the next few have a requirement and if it is learned remove the frst set and so on. Let the requirement be an upgrade and have it so when hero learns level 1 minion the upgrade is upgraded. You will have to adjust thtool tips accordingly and the level requirements though |

Well, It looks like they're all correct; I've checked out any other possible way to do this I could think of, and the only one that had a chance (other than triggereing of course) fell flat when I discovered that abilities can't be techtree requirements :o. Now, if this unit were not a hero, and therefore not going to have the 'hero abilities' upgrade thingy, u could use upgrades to 'research' the ability, and make sure that one upgrade is dependant on the other, follow? |

ok thanks you guys. ims till stuck on that but i will figure something out. I was thinking about doing the requirements of another spell in a course like u said but it might be too confusing for me lol. SO many abilities my hero got. plus the unit abilities of skeletons lol. But atleast i figured out the second part. hmm well ill be posting another thread lol. Im having trouble with my units attacks. |
