Here is my first terrain. It is mostly the waterfall that I like, I did the tent crap in 30 secs. I think I will add more to this later.

not bad.

the rocks you are using, however, are quite ugly.

i suggest you explore the other rock doodads, some are much nicer and real looking than those :)

Not bad for first terrain

I think the biggest problem with the rocks, is the fact that they are not smooth and rounded, like rocks near a waterfall would actually be.

Also the ground seems way too plain. You varied texture plenty, but you need trees and enviromental doodads covering much of it.

hey this is good......im not so sure those rocks are that bad.....needs more enviormetal doddads like trees and other stuff......but also expand on the village.....i mean home....put a mill and some sheep :>

EDIT: those rocks look wierd because theres nothing next to them......

I've been to Niagra falls, but it was a while ago and I don't remember. The reason why they probably thought the rocks were round is because normally around water there are lots of smooth round stones to skip across the water. Then the water might also erode the rock away and either make it smooth or jagged. http://www.infoniagara.com/new-pictures/american.jpg Heres a picture with the sides of the falls. It's kind of rocky.

I live around tons of waterfalls, and the reason the WC ones can't look realistic is becuase there is no way to get a vertical cliff without screwin everything else up.
