Hey guys, I have a model that I have animated in both 3ds Max 6 and in milshape (i think 1.7). I am trying, obviously, to get this into warcraft. I have read through these fourms quite a bit and have tried a few different ways that should supposedly work. I have used the milkshape exporter plugin, used Zero Joints, and edited the headings, as per the directions i hope. The problem is that the conversion from the mdl to the mdx fails (using YobGul's converter). I have also taken it through lithunwrap to convert to 3ds (which i saw in a tutorial) and then used dashi's converter to make into mdx and editing the sequence times (again with YobGul's). This imports with no animations. From the 3ds max angle, I have used republicola's maxscript but nothing happens. I have also exported to 3ds and tried to use dashi's converter, but it closes and does not produce a file. I have tried every method i have seen and am getting really frustrated. Any help (different tools, some possible problems) would be greatly appreciated. I would be glad to post the models that i am working from as well, if that would help. Thanks in advance, Carter |

You didn't try the official art tools from blizzard, did you? They only work for 3ds max 4 and 5 though - i hope this is not a problem for you. Anyway this is a set of plugins for 3dsmax to directly export to mdx/mdl |

1) You shouldn't post things like "Your avatar isn't showing". You can handle such issues via PM. They don't fit the topic and are considered as spam. 2) As I don't want this thread to end in a warez discussion (I guess that's enough of a hint...) I closed it. |
