Hi there. As you may or may not know, Star Alliance's Heart of Storms mod (rommel.samods.com; but it's temporaly down now with rest of SA) is getting close to its beta stages, and an open beta may be coming soon. For those who never heard of HoS, it's a massive conversion featuring 4 new races, tons of custom models/skins/sounds and a full-scale singleplayer campaign. As of right now, about 75% of models and skins are finished (you may have seen them in my old posts here or at SA forum), but there is a problem - Xaran Alamas (HoS leading modeller) has resigned and left HoS team for good (can't blame him, he had his reasons). Still, there is a number of models to be finished. Listed here are those which require only geoset merging (plz no attachments). Hope someone is up to these requests. Can't offer much reward in points (as I don't have any) but I can always repay with any existing skins or models from HoS, or enlist a person to closed pre-beta tester list. Orc units: Heresiarch - TFT Warlock with shaman's claws on his right hand, Furion's staff in his left hand, demon standard thingy from Black Citadel on his back (modify his backpack to look like a base for the standard); Sea Giant's head under the original cape (the same for portrait, attach Warlock cape on Sea Giant portrait model); Death Knight - Bandit Mage (aka non-hero Archmage) with Acolyte's head; horns from Necromancer's skull cap attached to the head of the horse; Shadowmoon Adept - RoC Warlock with Shaman's head; Grunt - grunt with smaller horns pointed up, bandit's shield on his right hand; Spearman - needs a portrait (Chaos Axethrower w/o Wolverine hairdo); Daemon - Doom Guard with skeleton's scimitar and horns pointed down. Human units: Cleric - Medivh with Keeper of the Grove head (antlers, long ears and those long hair locks removed); High Elf units: Strider - Demon Hunter (or Illidan w/o wings) with Priest's head merged with original hair, armed with Spell Breaker swords (one-bladed version, resized to 125%) Thanx a ton in advance! -Bezdomniy aka Rommel, HoS project leader. |

Excellent! :D Only could you make the horns look more like goat's, not bull's (the way they are in Warcraft II)? Thanx :) |

I'll do the portrait one now. What custom paths do you want for the skin? I'll get a picture. Just wait 1 minute. |

Uh, sorry... I just haven't checked that thread for a while. Your Shadowmoon Adept looks good, although his head appears a bit too small. Also, did you remove his cape completely? It would look best if you merge shaman's head with the original cape so the cape could be modified to look like a part of the wolf's hide. And don't worry about the paths, I'll define them myself. Also, Heresiarch, Grunt and Cleric have already been done by Garfield so only Daeth Knight and Daemon remain (DK made by Ice Knight isn't working) |

Should the Daemon look something like this ? Since the weapon in his right hand already looked like a scimitar I assumed you wanted the skeleton's scimitar in his left hand. |

So do you want that cape thing that goes the front and the back of the shaman on the shadowmoon. I wanna try the death knigt. (Can I see If I can maybe find something to make look better?) |

Heh I guess I should have read the entire thread before attempting to make a cleric model based on your description. Oh well here is another cleric model that could be used potentially as a npc for HoS if you would like it. Still based off Medivh with the keeper's head. I didn't spend much time on the skin, since I'm not nearly as gifted in the art of skinning as yourself Rommel. :> |
