Well... It's been a month now since I even worked on this RPG. It's a lot of raw trigger work, so if anyone would like to use tidbits from it, go ahead. Oberia features, among other things: an easily-expandable, item based spell system; an action timebar combat system; a console-RPG style talking system; an equipment upgrade system (not implemented in these levels but EASY to use), a chase-cam that can be swung around with the arrow keys, dungeon puzzles; and some pretty sweet terrain, if I do say so myself. Screenshots are here: Oberia Screens Earlier Screens This is the starting town and a starting quest. I got this far before the new patch came out... I don't know whether it will make any difference. Never figured out a good way to get help on Oberia, and then a string of problems in the real world sort of nixed any time I had to work on it myself. The campaign just needs to be dropped into your campaigns folder. There are tooltips and other special stuff that couldn't be done without a patch, so if you're confused about the armor / weapon types, try copying the war3patch.mpq file into your Warcraft III root. (To 'uninstall' the altered tooltips, just delete the war3patch.mpq.) Known bugs: --In combat, whenever a player-character uses an item power, the next time his timebar fills up, he won't be automatically selected. --Boss randomly decides not to use abilities. Have fun! // Ligature |
