Modding Contest!

Allright here's the deal: We want to find out how to give your own maps that special little Blizzard Approved icon. We know it's easily done in Starcraft, but upto now noone has figured out how to do it with Warcraft III yet. This may prove tricky, but I am confident one of us will come up with the answer!
Who finds this out the first gets a nice reward (insofar being able to do it isn't a reward by itself).
Tools that are probably quite necessary for this are WinMPQ and perhaps a hex-editor. FYI, in Starcraft you can do it by adding a file blizzard_2.cnd that can be found in blizzard maps to the map file of the map of your choice.

He wants to be able to make all maps look like they're Blizzard Official maps by having blizzard's icon next to the name of the map. Eventually, even the most newbie of noobs know how to do this by copieng others, which will lead into the icon not being accepted as official, OR a guarantee for a good map.

Don't help him. It ruined a big part of Starcraft modding.

Actually in Starcraft you can't run a map you modded in that way over b.net (unable to authenticate map error). The point is to get it to work for total conversions such as TTOR and Project Revolution.

Still, no. This should never be done for any reason. I don't care what you think, Blizzard's seal is just that, *BLIZZARD'S* approval. Not yours.

hes not asking for a map so that it should bear blizzard's seal...
hes asking for a map that has good enough quality to seem like a blizzard map

mayb u cant use a blizzard official map icon, but mayb u can make ur own icon to give it a little customization??
