Hi, Im having trouble with a few units. Skeleton Mage- has missle bounce but wont bounce. Skeleton Death Mage- has missle line and want like it can damage more than one target every time it does its attack. Skeleton Chaos Mage- does missle splah and want it to damage more than one target too. Basicly i tried to make the skeleton mage have its fireball bounce at like 4 targets or hwoever many i want it to bounce at and my death and chaos mage to be able to kil or damage more than 1 target in one attack. Like if one of the two attacks a person any people around will be injured or killed too. I tried the AoE thing but it dont work right. |

For skeleton mage - make sure u have these 2 settings. Weapon Type- Missle Bounce, and Make sure you set it to have high splash range, however far you want the thing to be able to jump. Make sure u define splash targets also Skeleton Chaos Mage - change splash range to higher dk bout death mage, dont kno much bout missle line |

In object editor, where you created your skeletons, you have lots of stuff you can change for them in the right field of the editor (like hp, art, sound etc...) You can also change attack statistics for 2 attacks (most units only use the number 1 attack, so no need to change anything about attack 2). Now find the attribute "combat - attack 1 - weapon type" and change it to "missle(bounce)", find the attribute "combat - attack 1 - maximum number of targets" and change it to 4 or whatever you want, find the attribute "combat - attack 1 - damage loss factor" and change it to how much you want each next bounce to deal less damage (if you want it so that each bounce deals half damage, set it to 0.5, if you want each bounce to deal the same damage, set it to 1), find the attribute "combat - attack 1 - area of effect (full damage)" and change it to how far you want the missle to bounce (huntress has this set to 400) and find the attribute "combat - attack 1- area of effect targets" and set it to which targets you want the missle to bounce to (you can just copy this from the "combat - attack 1 - targets allowed"). For splash attack, set the "combat - attack 1 - weapon type" to "missle (splash)", leave the "combat - attack 1 - maximum number of targets" at 1 (splash damage will deal damage to all units around the target, so this does not matter). Now, you have to set the splash range. You have 3 fields: "combat - attack 1 - area of effect (full damage)", "combat - attack 1 - area of effect (medium damage)", "combat - attack 1 - area of effect (small damage)". The Demon hunter in demon form has these fields set to 50/150/250. This means that enemies very very close to the target get full damage, while enemies further away receive less. How much less is determined by "combat - attack 1 - damage factor - medium" and "combat - attack 1 - damage factor - small", the demon hunter has these two values set to 0.50 and 0.25. The last thing you must not forget is the "combat - attack 1- area of effect targets", do the same thing here as you did with the bounce attack. I think that an example for missle-line attack is the gryphon rider, look at it in the object editor and see if you can figure it out by yourself. |
