i am making a map which would be best if there were more realistic looking things. please give me any suggestions on how to represent the following

chain-link fences
street lamps
basketball hoop
drinking fountain
chalkboard
hardwood floors
carpeted floors
speaking of floors, is it possible to skin terrain tiles??? :(
thanks

there arent any doodads that i know of that would look good at all as anything like those nowadays, so you would need custom models for those. And yes you can skin terrain it works pretty much the same way as other skins

It is possbale to skinterrian, just use warcraft 3 veiwver to extract it to a tga, then edit it with photoshop, be careful when adjusting the whole image settings such as saturation and couler balance, cos it can screw up the alpha channels leaving the overlapping edges of terrain bright white squares

make sure that all the sides of each "tile" for the tileset macth up. Basicly meaning that you should make sure all the sides fit properly with each other.
