Map Protection

How do i protect a map. I'm sure there's a thread out there somewhere, but so far i cant find it. Will you please show me how or what i use to protect maps?

go to the download section and download W3M map utilities, that has alot of map protection options

OR... Just take a blank Notepad Document. name is Wc3.wtg, then import it into your map with the same name. Save and then your map will not be openable again! Well... unless you unprotect it... and look at the JASS files... but I won't tell ya how! Muhahaawa! X}

you just do as nice linkmaster says after you´ve finnished your map or search in the tools section.

Nah, the newbies don't listen to us knowing members.

Just download WEU its a decent map protector or you can even protect your map yourself manually by downloading WinMPQ opening the W3X file and eraseing all the data NOT DELETING in the world editors trigger file. Name slips me at the moment. :D

However just know this NO MAP PROTECTION can keep it from being stolen a person with the determination will get into your map your just keeping noobs and other people who don't wish to waste their time away.

Someone should probably close this thread before it turns into a full blown map protection "rightness" war.


Just download some protecter such as perhaps HeavyLock, or do it as what Linkmaster said.
