A simple program for editing, i.e. Paint Shop Pro 7 or 8, Fireworks,Adobe etc. 5.A program to save your picture as a .TarGA (.tga) To Use: The Frozen Throne: NOTE: If You Keep Getting Random Errors In Image Extractor Move ALL The Files To Your Warcraft Main Directory Not Replacing Any Files There! NOTE:To Find The Images Go To Open>Archive(mpq) And Navigate To War3X.mpq (War3.mpq for ROC) 1.Use Image Extractor 2 To Find Your Desired File. 2.Save This Image As A .TarGA (.tga); we do this so your editing program will read your file. 3.Now Open The File In Your Editing Program. 4.Make Your Modifications As Desired. 5.Save Your Changes 6.(NOT REQUIRED) If You Can't Save As a .TarGA (.tga) then export the file as a gif, then import the file with a program that WILL save as .TarGA (.tga) and save the file. 7.Open Image Extractor 2 And Go To File>Open>your save file 8.Once Image Has Been Opened Use The Image Extractor 2 and Go To Save>desiredname (make sure you save it as a .blp in the dropdown menu below the save file name.) 9.Open WE (world editior), Press F12 (go to import manager on the toolbar),Import Your .Blp file ONLY 10.Right Click On The Imported File (.blp) And Select Modify File Properties, Check The Box For Use Custom Path. 11.Use Image Extractor 2 To Find The Path; i.e. If You Went To Textures Then Found Arthas You Would Use Textures\Arthas (MUST BE EXACT NAME AS STATED IN IMAGE EXTRACTOR 2!!) 12.After Writing The Path In The Modify Properties Area (MAKE SURE YOU WRITE .blp AT END OF PATH), You Can Either Test Your Map Or Save Your Map And Hit Ctrl + W Then Reload It To See It In The WE! Reign Of Chaos: NOTE:RENAME YOUR .blp TO THE UNIT (as instructed above) Except Dont Add The Textures\ Part or whatever it maybe. NOTE:WE Is Not Open During ANY Of This 'Till Instructed To Do So! Use Steps 1-8 9:Open WinMPQ 10: Open Your Map In WinMPQ Using The Basic File>Open Procedure ( Make Sure When You Go To Open That You Have *all files Selected in the File Type: Area) 11.Go To Add (in the upper region of WinMPQ) Find Your .blp And Add It To Your Map, WinMPQ Will Ask You What To Put Infront Of it, Use The Path From Image Extractor 2 (explained above in step #11) 12.You Should See Your New File In The File List Area 13.Open WE And Place Your Newly Skinned Unit In The Editor And Test It Out!
