Disabled Buttons

Is there anyway to make your own icon that is blacked out if you don't have the requirements? if so where do you put the blacked icon to make it be used?

i was struggling with this for a while, someone told me you had to put the disabled one in a special folder and replace all this junk...but its a bit easier...
put the regular icon in
replaceabletextures\CommandButtons\BTNyouriconname.blp
and put the disabled version of that as
replaceabletextures\CommandButtonsDisabled\DISBTNyouriconname.blp
and that should work. :)

I've never been sure if the BTN/DISBTN was actually needed... do you know for sure if that part of it is?

Yes! DISBTN shows when you cannot press that button to any affect. AKA you hero is learning the ability fireball. But the fireball spell is level 3+, and your hero is only level one. So you would see a DISBTN icon instead of a BTN, being darker.

unless your talking about the BTN in the name, in that case, yes.
