I know the basics of map making, but only the basics. I have no idea how to work triggers and stuff like that. If anyone could help me out, I'd be really greatful. |

To make a maul you must: Rip off a map that has been rippped off thousands of times (which in my opinion wasn't good in the first place). Be completely unoriginal and don't give credit to anyone. Be able to use the object editor, but you only need to be able to use the unit editor part. Have what it takes to release another shitty map upon B.Net, despite there being too many already. You can try expiramenting on a maul to get a feel for mapping, then perhaps make your own map which could be much better than any cheap ripoff and get trigger help from someone who knows basic Tower Defence triggers that will do them for you. I would, but I'm working on a map of my own, and a map with some members of my clan. |

If your learning to map the original wintermaul probably isnt the best to learn from, especially if your new to things like variables. Its probably better to look for the "how to make td" tutorial that was around here somewhere. Although I learnt a bit when I was a noob from WM, I (thank goodness) never actually modified it. Make something original, youll learn more and have a better end result. |

OK: its actualy much simpler. Step one: DONT MAKE A MAUL. they ****in suck anyways and just making another one will cause me to find your house, go there, and beat the **** outta you with the harddrive that contains your retarded maul ripoff. |

Ok..... I think the point has been received, like, perhaps... after my post. In case you didn't realize, people have already said those things and they don't really need to be said again, so please, don't. Also, i completely disagree with BBDino, a good td is a really fun map, and they offer more challenge in a more balanced situation than the vast majority of maps. (note: I'm talking about GOOD TDs, not crappy ones) |

Ok, i might as well lend help - even though i vowed to shoot all if any maul-makers on sight. And i hope it's purely to learn. What you need to do... Open up a existing 'maul' Go into the object editor, change things around. Name wise and such, Please though, be creative with the names at least! Think of a creative new feature. Release it and be amongst the hundreds of existing 'Mauls. |

My guide to maknig mauls: 1) Open a excisting maul 2) Go to modify Tileset and change it to some tileset that doesn´t completely scre4w up the game play 3) Edit unit models 4) Edit unit names Extra) Wipe out all mentions of the previous maul editor, and replace them with your own account name. That is, how i believe, most of the current crap-mauls have come to excist. Oh, and dont forget to save. |
