I wanna make a Dynasty Warriors style map and wanna know how to make it so that the damage of the enemy and friendly computer units is like 10 or sumtin but when the enemy hits your hero is does like 50 damage or sumtin...

So i want the enemy footman to do normal damage to the allied computer footman but more damage to my heroes... hows that done?

I don't know jass but I know there is a if a unit takes damage so I dont know if you can add a boolean comparisen if the unit is a hero or not (Though from my very short knowlage I think you can), set life of attacked unit to -40 HP

there's always the run around method of playing with armour. Give the enemy unis 50 attack and allied armor = 40 so it only does 10. It doesn't look neat but its always nice to have a last resort.

C: Unit attacked = hero
A:

if triggering unit life >= 40 then
set triggering unit life = triggering unit life - 40
else
set triggering unit life = 1



The if >=40 is to make sure the trigger doens't kill the unit, otherwise you won't get experience. there are other ways around this...but this is the simplest i've found.

He's trying to say that he wants enemy units to do 10 damage to allied computer but 50 damage to user heroes.

I also thought of another way. I havent checked but give the enemy 2 attacks: 1 to attack odinary units but not heroes and the other that only attacks heroes. You can change the stats to suit.

Pyrus's way of using two attacks is definately the easiest and best way to solve the problem.

Why dont yuo go under Gameplay constants and change the amount of damage normal attacks do to hero armor? No triggers required.

you could also mess around with a 100% critical strike (only for heros) for say 2x damage and then add that to every unit.

edit these so normal damage deals 500% damage to hero armor, looks much better than 2 attacks.

If the unit deals 10 damage and you want it deal 50 to heroes, you gotta put it to x5, 500% .... "5.00"

SO put all at "1.00" in the (EG, Chaos Attack) and then chaos will deal 500% more damage?

its a %, if u put the number as 5 then that attack will deal 5 time more damage to the relevant armor type, you'll hafta experiment to find out which number is which armor, cause i forget.
