I'm tryying to use one of the downloaded skins from this site, (Wolverine) and it usses as it's path and model a unit (ChaosAxeThrower) which I can locate using Image extractor, but can't find using the Object editor. Are any of these units in War3mpq able to be shown in the object editor? If not, how do we use a skin texture, in this case Wolverine, and place it on a unit which can't be accesed in the object editor? The War3mpq units show up in the object editor, but not the War3x units. How do I get to them to use this very cool skin? :o |

The path for the skin is Units\Demon\ChaosOrcRange\ChaosAxeThrower.blp The path for the model and portrait are Units\Demon\ChaosOrcRange\ChaosOrcRange.mdx Units\Demon\ChaosOrcRange\ChaosOrcRange_Portrait.mdx To get them into the editor you dont need to import the model or anything. Just copy and paste this path onto the model path in the object editor and in the import manager import to wolverine blp with the path of the chaosaxethrower. It should work. That might have confused you but read it carefully. |

Thanks, I have it going now. I still don't understand the difference between the War3.mpq files, and the War3x.mpq files. Why can't I get the object editor to let me look at all units? Under the War3.mpq I can, using the Image Extractor, get most of the units, but some key ones are not to be found. Example: Under the Human; the Mountain King isn't listed, and under the Night Elves; the Demon Hunter is missing. Is this some weird Blizzard quirk? Also, why can't the units archived under Demons, Critters, and a few summoned units (like Doom Guard) be found in the Object Editor? Are there other MPQ files beside War3 and War3x in the game? ...my newby-ness is showing. But thanks for the help with Wolverine. :8 |

Just an FYI here, but your link didn't work. The ol' "404" message came up instead. I would have been interested to see your skins tho. |

Oh... um... you're talking about the link in my sig right. Yeah its old outdated anyway. I'll change it once i finish the skin i'm working on. War3.mpq is all the reign of chaos stuff. War3x.mpq is the tft stuff. Some skins like the demon hunter are in the Textures path. Dont ask me why. So for like the demon hunter it would be Textures\Demonhunter.blp |

That's probably why I had troubles getting the Batman skin to load into the game properly. It seemed completely different from the other skins as to where/how the path should be written into the object editor. Thanks again for your help. Keep the skins coming, too. :8 |
