Mods! Look Here!

OK you mods, i have a question about user reputation. What if you give somebody a dissaproval such as "needless spamming" and they are 90% sure it was you so they give you one back just to rub it in your face?

Moderators, Section and Site Directors should be the ones that give people reputations. Like if they post a good tutorial, they should get a good rep, pointless spammers should get a bad rep. ;)

They can yes. But we hope people have more maturity than that.

Some hope. If they're spamming enough to have people give them bad reputation points, then they're not going to be very mature.

thats what i thought too. The reason I said Mods! Look here! was because i thought the mods would have more info on that. :D

Also, for some reason somebody gave me a dissaproval just for making this thread! They put: Nobody cares about user reputation. Im sure they dont, but thats no reason to give me one!

Somebody realy gave you a bad reputation point saying nobody cares about reputation?! o_O , i cant be the only one to see the utterly flawed log in this, if they gave you a bad reputation point, they must care about reputation, and should therefor remove their own reputaion point, who ever you are, post and explane youre self.

On a slightly less bewildered note, i dont like the new system, i got a reputation point, but i pretty sure, it was a neutral one, as in i didnt gain, or loose a point, and the comment only said "...", what am i sposed to do with this?

People wilth lower reputation affect your reputation less (by weight of points), whereas mods, or highly reputable people give more weight.

Just think of it like playing melee on Bnet. All those disconnects dont reflect your ability to play... but affect your overall score. They shuld always be the minority and rare (altho on Bnet that isn't tha case!).

Look in the official thread, and stop making clone threads!

For every 1000 posts, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.
For every 100 positive reputation points, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.
Users must have 50 posts to be able to impact other users reputation levels.
You must have 10 reputation points to be able to impact other users reputation levels. [10 is what everyone starts with]
You may only rate 10 posts in a 24h period, reserve your vote for the best of the best and worst of the worst.
You may not rate someone a second time until you have 20 users rate your account.

Also I have 3 positives and 2unposotives, why does it say i have 8 points?
