Here is one of my first terrains to show on the web. It's of a volcano top. Any criticism is greatly appreciated. Here's the picture: http://www.sanbachs.net/www/animals/volcano.jpeg |

Hey... it's nice. But something is wrong with it. I think that red waterfall might ruin the volcano because of the spray it sends out... Just my opinion. |

i know, the water is too high up and seems like it should overflow, try raising the walls around the lava a bit more. |

I must say....very very excellent! Quite good indeed! Applauds! |

Maybe some way to add lights and make the lava brighter. Having it glow and look hot would make it more realistic looking but its good. |

looks good, have you just dont the volcano top, or is there a whole masive volcano underneath, if the latter, id like to see pics, one small critsisim however, the terrain looks a little flat to me, you could try raisng some bits slightly, then adding noise and smothing |

I just went to do some of the changes you guys suggested so, I went to open the file. but I forgot to save it!!!! *hits self on the head* :( :\ Not very happy 'bout that right now. So, to vent my anger, I made this: http://www.sanbachs.net/www/animals/temple.jpeg Not that good really, didn't take that long.. but, it helped me from smashing my computer.. and we dont want that. ;) |

Not too bad :D I really like the temple, and the volcano looks allright, but the edges look too sharp. You should find a geograthy book or some kinda book that has cool pics of volcanos and look at it as you terrain. Doing stuff like that can really improve your terraining skills, or at least it works for me... |
