When i download skins for wc3 where do i save them to for them to work?

It depends on what skin it is.

If it is mountainking skin then save it in the importmaneger as the skin path for mountainking

Every skin has its own path. If the skin does not come with instructions, then you need to get either WinMPQ or Imageviewer to find the location.
