Shameless Plug for my nearly finished project.

I've been working on several maps since I got WarCraft III, but most of them I give up on because I can never get the gameplay to be fun and balanced. What I really love to do is create cinematics! I'm quite possibly the best (or at least better than everyone else I've seen) and I'm about to prove it!

I have created an entirely cinematics map composed of several mini-movies. The graphics, the sounds, and the humor are unfathomable! So far I've got 14 minutes worth fo footage, and I still need to finish the grand finale movie! The downside is that the MP3s are extreamly essential to the map, and it's size is over 10Mb. Not to wory, though, I plan on hosting my map on a geocites webpage and just spamming a download link in every major forum.

The point of this message was to be a shameless plug (just like the title says :ggani: ). I expect my map to be completed in a week at most. It could be done in only 3 days, so keep browsing these forums!

Geocities would give you out of bandwidth errors after like two downloads.

Yup the guy above me is right. Geocities is quite possibly the worst host on the net. It's very slow, and doesn't have much storage space or bandwidth. Anyway, I'm interesting in seeing this so try to find a reasonable host :D . Maybe WC3 Campains will host it for you?

I could host it on my ftp server :). Just send it to my email at [email protected] and i will put it up on ftp.asparena.net. It is quite fast and has unlimited bandwith.

Thanks DanMage1, I'll E-Mail the map to you once it's finished. I didn't want to use Geocites, BELIEVE ME, but WC3campains has a 2Mb limit and my map is already over 10 Mbs. I'll be done in about a week. Until then, count the days 8)

2MB???????????? 2MB is not enough for the forums and only the forums. what about the downloads? the maps? are you crazy? do you mean 2GB? (2048MB)

He ment file size, Wc3campains has a limit that the map file cannot be over 2 MB not thier bandwidth :)

Ok, I'll be waiting for the email :D. My ftp has alot of stuff so at least I can clean it up :).

Hate to say this dan, but hotmail doesnt do attachments at 10 mb.

Glad Fear Factor said that, or else we'd feel REAL stupid when we tried Hotmail. I'm halfway done with the final movie, and since I'm on Fall break from college, I am putting nearly all of my efforts into finishing!

This map is the SHIT! I've shown it in its current state to all fo my friends and they frickin' flipped! Not to spoil anything, but the Finale movie is a DBZ fight, and it steals the whole show.

I just realized that there isn't a single free E-Mail service that allows 15 Mb attachments!! My Internet service is one of the crappiest in human history (It provides its own browser, but it doesn't work right unless you don't install it and just use IE. It also sucks in the E-mail department, but it's the only God Damned Cable Internet Provider in my region!)

Is there some other way I could get this file out? I've heard of downloading directly from B.net from some other guys with my problem. How does this work, and would it work with a 15 Mb file?

I am going to release this F#cking map one way or the other, and I'm not going to remove all the Cameras and MP3s because the whole movie would seem diminished and without feeling.

HEY! I Just got an Idea!!!!!!! If you have IMesh or Kazaa I can let you download it from me using them! It's perfect, it's brilliant, it's just the kind of thing I've come to expect from myslef (Ok, so I have ego issues. That's not a crime! :gsmile: )

Despite all of this rambling, I'm still not quite done. I'm the kind of person that's never satisfied, so I keep adding more and more to the map, especially the Grand Finale (Which is 2/3 of the movie already LOL.). My initial projected release date is still the most realistic: the end of the week.

Please give me all the feedback you can on my idea and any suggestions. In fact, if anyone posts any good ideas I may put them in the map (I still need at least one more "Commercial" and I'm running outta ideas lol.) Seriously, anything you want me to spoof I'll spoof it. This is your chance to influence one of the greatest maps in history.

get a free POP3 email account (no limits@EVERYTHING) at hotpop3.com
doesnt have web based interface though
have to set it with outlook express or eudora or any other POP3 email program

Why not just upload it to a free webpage hosting service like xoom.com? Also you could use a file splitter to split the file into several peices and send it via E-Mail that way. You can download the best file splitter I've ever seen here: http://www.spadixbd.com/JSplit/ . If I had an idea of what the map was about I'd love to contribute some idea's for the last commercial you need to make. If I can help anyway please let me know. :ggani:
