HIRING staff for Chrono Trigger campaign. Yes, HIRING. Considering paying staff.

I'm starting a wc3 recreation of the classic SNES rpg Chrono Trigger. I'm willing to do almost all the work (especially all the triggers. I'm a certified trigger expert :D ) but I desperately need modelers and skinners. Almost all the units will be custom, and I need a large team of skinners for the job, along with a few modelers besides myself. I can do terrain, music, 2d art and especially triggers, but a few extra people to help with this would be appreciated. Anyone who has played CT is welcome to join, but I'm specifically looking for custom unit makers, whether you've played CT or not. Anyone interested in making a little side cash, is a fan of CT, or just wants the opportunity to make one of the biggest, longest, and best campaigns ever should reply and/or send me an AIM message at rpgsuperfan.

Oh yeah, almost forgot, if you haven't played Chrono Trigger, these two sites are excellent places to learn the basics and intricacies alike.

Did I mention that I'm willing to pay anyone willing to recreate one of the greatest RPGs of all time? No takers? Not one?

Don't ruin CT on some sub-par campaign please.

Ruin CT...? Ruin CT? RUIN CT?!?!?!?! I don't know who you think you are (besides admin of this site...) but I don't appreciate anybody assuming that I don't live up to my name! I am the RPGSUPERFAN, I live rpgs, I breathe rpgs, I eat, digest, and crap out rpgs, and I love CT above all but one: FF7. But considering there's already plenty of FF7 maps and CT would be much more interesting on Warcraft, I chose my second favorite rpg to translate into a campaign. And this isn't going to be some crappy hack and slash with the same old default heroes and creeps just with changed names and lousy terrain. This campaign will be CT, word for word, trigger for trigger, code for code, just with WC3 graphics. If Square released a 3d remake of Chrono Trigger, this would be it. Why do you think I'm willing to pay people? I want professional work, and I'll give no less myself. Now, please, don't ever doubt my love and admiration for Square's work of art again.

EDIT: Sorry, that was a little over-the-top, but when the first reply I get is an assumption that this will be "sub-par", it's hard to get teed off.

Depends on how much you contribute, but it won't be like a paycheck or anything. I can't give you all wages and stuff. But it should be a little incentive to stay on task I hope. Besides, you really ought to be doing this for fun. The $ is just meant as a "Thank you" for helping me.

Hmmmm... so many members, and only 2 replies to my thread in 3 days... Perhaps you want an example? Okay, I started making the terrain of the first chapter, and the main character's model. Here's an example of the original Chrono Trigger versions, next to the WC3 versions.

By the way, the continent I made is the one in the top left of the world map, called Truce, and it's only the first part of the first chapter. I'm going to do the entire world, but that will have to wait until tomorrow.

^_^ Thanks, that would be great. I seriously need a skinner, and another modeler would cut the modeling time in half so that'd be a great help. I can do the map-making and 90% of the triggering myself but I will need help with some of the global systems.

The most important question is, have you played Chrono Trigger? Don't worry if you haven't, I'd just need to show you some things.

I might be able to help ya' out. Currently, I am a semi-programmer, going into University shortly. I would be able to help out with modelling and animation if I could find a way to get my 3D Studio Max 6 capable of exporting the model files. I also do some ASP.

But how serious are you about this? And how good of a leader and an organizer are you? Do you have a plan laid out?

I'm very serious, and everything has already been planned out. Technically, this is just a conversion of a game that already exists, so the storyline, characters, monsters, skills, and everything else are all there. I'm just trying to recreate it in WC3. Anybody who want to know the details contact me by AIM or MSN. My sns should be on my profile.
