www.wc3campaigns.com download section

As some of you might noticed, hitting the "Download" button leads you to the site http://www.wc3sear.ch/ This site will be the download section of wc3campaigns. As all of you know the site is still in the progress of merging to vb3, so there will be some changes of the dl section as well. Right now you need to register at wc3sear.ch again to upload your files. Later this process will be automatically done when you have an account at wc3campaigns. Uploading Icons, Spells, Models, Maps and Skins is very easy.

Register on the forums at wc3sear.ch and log in. As soon as you're logged in you can klick on "Add/Update Resources" in the top right corner. Then you can upload or modify your work at you please. You have full access to all your resources, which means you can update/delete them instantly. If you have submitted your skins, models e.t.c on the old wc3campaigns download section, you need to upload em on wc3sear.ch again. This makes sure the files are registered for your account and makes you able to change em whenever you like :-)

i think the whole point of having a download section button is that you dont have to go to another site to download, this complicates things alot. Cant we just wait till the download section works -here- instead of uploading files twice? Your going to get a ton of angry members because of this...

I tried adding my cenimatic to the files and once I hit submit map it cannot find the sever?
Does the file section work yet?

is the old download section ever coming back? I'd prefer to keep my skins wc3campaigns exclusive...

The liked the old setup better as well. Unless you make a campaign section (I don't want TTOA in with single maps).

For one thing I like Wc3search for the most part, but the interface slightly bugs me. I'd rather have a choosable amount of files per page, and no borders around them. Also it would be easier IMO to just let authors upload a readme with their map then ripping it from the map.
Maybe another thing that turns me down is the huge amount of icons. Why not just zip all those millions of WoW icons into one file and take a compiled screenshot of them? Yeah its time consuming, but hell I organized 900 icons on my comp, made disbtns for 3/4 of em, converted em (from .tga or .jpg), added alpha channels to the ones that needed one and organized them by author in 2 days.

::sigh:: i hope it goes back there is really not here its wc3sear. thats why it has a diff name a diff layout, CAUSE ITS DIFFERENT. I luv this community but this a drastic step in the dirrection of crap. When wc3warehouse is back ill be there 4 my downloads.

For some reason I can't submit a map on the new DL area, it just says cannot find sever. whats wrong...

all of the files that used to be in this site, aren't in wc3sear. a lot of models and maps are gone, or are they still somewhere? i didn't see anything that specified if they were all deleted.
