Can anyone tell me some ability suggestions for a ninja character? I need some help with this. |

Off the top of my head, I'd say: - some kind of poison ranged attack, a la shadow strike - stealth mode, like shadowmeld or windwalk - maybe a summon / morph? sorry about my fixation on shadows... heh |

Let's see... At least one missile attack. While a Shuriken or a Kunai would probably be most suitable, there aren't really any good missile arts for those. I'd suggest a dart or somesuch. Either have it do small damage with a low cost and low cooldown, or give it a poison effect and a higher cost/cooldown. Next, a way to turn invisible. I'd recommend basing an ability off a dummy mana shield, and add permanent invisibility while it's on. You might also want to make it drain mana while active. Third, something passive. A low-chance high-damage version of critical strike or bash would be suitable, I say. If you're going to add an ultimate, how about some sort of teleportation attack? Something like teleport behind opponent, attack it once for massive damage, and teleport back again. Those are my suggestions, at least. [Edit: Didn't mean to quote the above post. : | ] |

can you, and are you willing to do trigger abilities? heres a list of abilities that already exist that you could give the ninja fan of knives blink drunken brawler shadow strike wind walk mirror image critical strike bash banish abilities easily modified a single target poison attack based off of frost nova a passive poison attack autocast poison attack (frost arrows) a really powerful mirror image (for a 6th level) |

Can you do fan of knives (FOK) and change the projectile art to Huntress Glaives. They look like Ninja Stars and if they bounced too after the cast that would be even cooler. But i doubt you can get them to bounce using the FOK ability. You can call this Ninja Star Spray or something. Another cool ability for a Ninja to have would be a combo of Blink and Windwalk. Have it so the Special Effects of Blink put you instanly in to WindWalk. Since there is no casting time (you know how WW takes 2 seconds before he goes invisible) you can increase the cooldown and mana to balance this spell. Let me know if you think these are cool or not. First it depends on what type of ninja: Shinobi that use energy (think chi [ki] ) to perform ninjitsu which is kinda like magic but based off the basic elements of {fire,sky,water,earth} Or your typical ninja that is based on steath and weapons such as {shurieken,kunai-throwing knives, assasins blade,etc} Or a mix of both. Here's some abilities: Shinobi: Anything elemental. Subterranean Decapitation: 'Blinks' to enemy, stuns them, damages them, and if you could, lower them so that only their heads show. Water Dragon Missile: Impale with Crushing Wave effects. If it is a RPG make it stonger if the caster is in shallow water. Hiding in the mist: Creates mist/fog/smoke around caster that gives friendly units in the mist an evasion buff. mist follows caster and is a time costing spell like immolation. Earth Style Conjuration: Target an enemy and summon an uncontrollable wolf at the enemy that will only attack that enemy and will continue untill the enemy dies or its timer runs out. Wolf is invulnerable. All levels have a slow attack bonus and additional levels have other passive abilities (bash, critical strike, etc.). Good for strong enemies. If the enemy dies before the timer is up the wolf aquires the nearest enemy. Sakura Wind: Sakura petals fall all around hero putting EVERY body to sleep in a wide range around hero. Traditional Ninja: Sharp Reflexes: Auto Cast. If an enemy gets within range a shuriuken/kunai gets thrown. Use dummy caster. Shadow Copy: casts a buff on self that only casting player/allies can see. If hero is attacked the attack is nulled and creates a shadow dummy at spot where attacked which goes after the atacking unit. Sahdowmeld (obviously) Create Traps (wards) which are invisible at 2nd level. Snare Trap: when enemy walks on it he is held in place and gets damage over time. Poison Wire: Cast on tree. If enemy walks near he becomes poisoned. Has 1 charge on 1st level, 2 on 2nd, etc. I realise some of these will involve heavy triggers. Any one can make it just give me credit for the ideas. |
