Some months ago I started a beta version of UMSWE 4.1, the next installment of UMSWE. As you might have noticed I have stopped the development right now, because I'm tired of developing a WE at the moment. I am interested whether there is demand for a full version of 4.1 and subsequent versions. I'd also appreciate it, if you state your reasons why you chose to vote Yes or No. |

I only chose No for 1 reason, Your tool is very powerful and if YOU made a WE it would be the best! so i say do it dude!!!! |

I think you should do some more. I mean, improving on it could only make stuff better for us all. Of course, the decision rests with you only. |

No one is going to push you, if you really feel tired, release the beta as full version (No one ever found a problem with it) |

KaosAngel: What do you mean? You said no, but you want me to continue. Did you read the question carefully? About the whole topic: The thing is that there isn't much to add. I can add a lot of trigger functions to be available in GUI. If someone has a really great suggestion then post it to the suggestions thread for UMSWE (get a link to it in the Important Threads). I don't want to compete with PitzerMike. We cooperate. Since he did a great job with WEU, I won't do a single player editor. We already considered to merge our projects (would be "UMSWE Unlimited"). But it won't change much. UMSWE as it is now, would be the multiplayer editor of UMSWE Unlimited, while WEU, as you can see it now, would be the singleplayer editor. The only reason I can think of that someone uses UMSWE is ease of use, the user is not overstuffed with a load of features. @Lord Vexorian: You should know why I haven't released it as a full version of 4.1. Remember all the accompanying stuff 4.0 had. |

I voted no, because if you are bored, then you shouldnt make it! |

I vote for yes. I love all the stuff you've made before dude. However if you don't feel like doing it, take a break. Were not gonna make you do a free service. But we would all appreate it very much. Don't stop rockin. |

I vote yes because your editor is much more easy to use for the most of mappers. PitzerMike's editor is for the Elite. ;) |

Also, i use the WEU, i say, that you should lay back and take a break. You did great work with the UMS and everyone here knows that. If you're tired of it, don't do it. It won't do any good if you continue but you don't want to. B~L~ |

I voted yes because i love UMSWE so much, but like everyone else i think its up to you if you want to or not |

Most of you guys say that I shouldn't continue if I'm bored of doing it. Well, the thing is, that I'm bored because there is not much to do. Probably I will find the time to make a full release of UMSWE 4.1 (WITH documentation that is). Starting next week, I have Easter holidays. I have a lot of time then. So maybe there is a chance. But no one of you stated what I should do when I continue (which could be a reason to do so). If you have a great idea, post it into the abovementioned thread (please ONLY there). |

QUOTE] Actually I Did, I Thought It Said That You Wold Try To Make A NEW World Editior (Lol..) Well Then, It Does Depend On You, Although You Could Try To Add New Features, And 1 Thing I Noticied Today, very small unnoticable bug, But If You Use The Hero Selectable System, It Says Coose You Hero (Instead Of Choose) |

I vote no, for the mere fact that we should be trying to get people off editor which break between major game revisions and can't be oppened by standard worldedit users. This isn't starcraft where if you wanted some functions you really needed to use a custom editor to get them. And even then you could still open the map in the regular starcraft editor you would just get wierd text for the triggers you added that used the locked functions. BUT WAIT THERE ARE FUNCTIONS I CAN ONLY ACCESS IN UMSWE AND I NEED THEM !!! Hello custom script command. Yes, blizzard invented it for this reason alone. The last good reason to use UMSWE was multiboards, but now that they are fully supported by the regular editor I see no use for you to continue this project of backwardness. BUT OMGZ0R I IS SCARED OF JASS. or YOU ARE A FREAK IF U USE JASS Well too freaken bad. Guess what the old beta still works, no need to overwork poor SCF whos talent is lent out to numerous projects. |

The normal Editor is powerful enough so i think it's not a great use to improve it any further. If people need Advanced Editors they should use WEU anyways because it allowes some more features then UMS does. B~L~ |
