After taking a break from skinning for a while after my Gaea's Champion fiasco, I'm back...and here's my latest work. Probably not my best, but it was just something to get me back into the groove. Magus/Janus from Chrono Trigger: |

Heh, that's kinda cute. The nose needs some work, for certain, though. I recommend defining it more in general, and more importantly adding a darker shadow beneath it. You almost pulled the cell-shading off, too. I do recommend against it for skinning, though, since most skins are mirrored in several places and that makes the lighting extremely inconsistent. If you can cell-shade with a generic lightsource, that would work out better. |

Yeah I decided to just...not not do onee, because I wasn't sure how one would go about /making/ a cell shaded nose... =/ |

Heh, it's a toughy in 3D. For starters, a triangle shadow directly under the nose will help (point facing down). If you do that, you can see how it looks and touch it up from there. |

Okay, thanks for the tip, lets see if I can make that work! EDIT: Uhm...okay, that didn't go so well. Now he just looks like Magus with a hitler mustache... =/ Uhm, okay, time for a radical new approach! Fel Orc Demon Hunter (as in a demon who hunts, not one who hunts demons -- ah I do love a good word pun) Magus! |

Good skin get rid of the hair on the demon one. The skin went to totally different directions. All nice cell shaded guy then a wrinkled demon. Cell shading doesnt work ingame because wc3 engine has it's own shading. |

Isn't Magus's skin white? Nevermind, that looks pretty good but... You gotta adjust it alot more. You can try Arthas :o |

the pants look really C&P'd so try adding a little shading, burning to it |

Okay....let's not debate the color of magus, here. His skin is pale (not /white/), his hair is violet -- I'm sorry if my color scheme was not as dead on balls-to-wall accurate, but it's hard to match a hue perfectly. The pants look CnP because they are...I drew the pants and then scanned them in...I abhor working with freehand demon hunter pants... I went in a completely random direction with the second draft because I realized I couldn't do Magus justice with the bare Demon Hunter model... (no cape, scythe, etc) Frankly, I love the face on the demon one, so I may procede in that direction, changing the skin to be entirely demonic... I have the original magus skin file still, if someone wants to to try and improve on my existing design -- one thing's for certain, there needs to be a good Magus skin. =/ |

First of, I'm not a skinner. But I do know that magus' skin is pale and his hair is violet, and though he always looks serious, be careful not to make him look demonic. |

...Either he didn't read the post I made before him, or he thinks that my revision is supposed to /look/ like Magus. Either way...ehhh...read the threads, people. |

Hey, that's really cool. You think you could make some more CT characters for my campaign? I could even pay you if you like =) Click the link below if you're interested. |
