I was playin FF Open RPG 4.1 and was wondering in the loading screen how they got the text next to the list of people and minimap pic (if you've played FFRPG 4.1 ud know what I'm talking about) |

I have not played the map of which you speak. However, if I had to guess, I would say that you're telling us that they had the minimap and all the player names listed in the loading screen, like a melee map, but they had a custom background with text. If that's the case, open up the Obelisk map that came with TFT. They use a custom loading screen in that map, and I've been told that it explains how to set one up yourself. The only part that you have to modify is making it replace the default loading screen instead of replacing one of the alternative ones. Only the default loading screen shows the names of the players with their loading status bars. |

ill look around in that map, yea im talkin it has text, player names, and the minimap pic. thx edit: i cant find the map your talking about. I kno monolith uses the custom screen, but thats not the kind I want to use. Whats the exact name of the obelisk map? |

Err, yea Monolith was the one I was referring to. Conceptually speaking, you can probably learn enough from how they do it to figure out how to replace the standard screen. Mind you, there are actually 5 default screens, one for each race and random, so to cut down on map size added, I recommend that you restrict players to one race and then split them up how you like once the game has started. If you can't figure out what files you need to replace, get War3Viewer and start looking through the .blp's to see if you can find which images you need to replace, by hand. If all else fails, get WinMPQ so that you can extract anything that might be suspicious and alter it. |

What they did was go into the MPQ and extract that background. Then they imported it and set the path to overwrite the old one. *I THINK* |
