But the question bears repeating... well anyway, some people recently have been telling me how great Wc3Viewer is for viewing skins, and well I'm very stubborn sometimes.. but I want to give it a whirl now. So my question is.. how is this accomplished? Is there a thread somewhere already explain this? I did a search and couldn't find a hit with the keywords I was using. Thanks for any info. |

Just download it from the download section and open it. If it wont find the mpq file, just choose open mpq and choose it manually. Then there appears a list of all the skins. Just choose one and look at it or extract it and open it with Photoshop. |

To view a skin open the model of the unit you have skinned. Say footman.mdx go to Current file of something at the top bar I forgot what it was. Looks around for "remap" click it and you'll have a box with all the textures. Look for the main skin "blah/footman.blp" Highlight it and click change look for your skin "myfooman.tga" Click ok and your done. Remap can opens tgas aswell as blps. To best view your skins go to View/Shadows View/Axis This turns off some extra crap and make your skin brighter. |
