Well hello, Earlier this day I decided to make my first "view-only" terrain, which will become an still-loyal-to-the-burning-legion-orc-city, at least if you say so... I started a bit already, tell me if you like it. if you like it i'l continue with this, if not i'l stop it and pick another theme... constructive critism please in what you would like to see enhanced... Oh and don't be to hard on me about empty backgrounds and such, since the terrain is still in development... Mozared (picture 1 gives sort a "legenda" from where the other pic's are taken, and in which direction) |

Nice, just need more environmental doodads, try wrapping a mushroom skin around a normal tree (i suggest ashenvale canopy tree), as mushrooms dont look that good. i especaily like the pic labeled 3 |

still too bland in my opinion. no offence. i would suggest adding more buildings with junk piles and empty boxes lying around after all city streets are far from clean. plus you might want to lose the fences and just let actual buildings take their place, unless you want to keep it a smaller type of city. keep working. quiters never win and winners never quit. |

Maybe i've should said this more clear... this isn't the city jet. the city will be to the right of the river, down the canyon walls, surrounded by the river. this isn't supposed to become a city street or such, and is meant to be pretty empty (how would you enter the city else). Quote:
Yes, i'm going to add fog, and the tiles will come, i wasn't done with that jet. Guys, i thank you all for your critism, but i ask you: please keep in mind these are very early shots... i'm going to update it a lot now... Mozared <<<edit>>> i'm not going to use the tree thingy. check out my picture, it does that to most of the trees \/ \/ \/ |

Try a less dence forest., and rotate those largest plants, they all point in the same direction, add a sky, and put some tile variation in, all that red is ruining the terrain |

Less dence forest: I thought about this already, cause i see your point, it's rather overgrowed now... Rotate largest plants: haven't even noticed this, i jut placed them :\ Add a sky: still in development, i'm gonna add this later Tile variation: i have that, check out my cliffs... and in the city it doesn't matter since i'm going to put buildings all over there... Oh it is a different tile, i didnt notice that, try adding some small patches of barrens grass, just for alteration, and some rocks to the cliff |

Barren grass... so the grass from the barren? (lol) i'l see if and where, it's supposed to be outland, which has no grass remember... The rocks on the cliffs, that idea... [brucealmighty] S' gOOd [/brucealmighty]. Mozared |

I rather like the forest, although I agree that it should be thinned. Also, make sure to add more crates and random junk around. They are orcs, afterall ;) Interesting concepts though. |
