Design a terrain and then write a story or add a funny comment/joke about it. Or someone can find or write a story or comment and someone else can design a terrain for it and vice versa. You may only post one picture but you may revise it as many times as you want. You are only limited to your imagination and the length of your story. Try to keep it kind of short. This is a friendly challenge and not necessarily a competition. There is no deadline. I will start it off. |

The Lonely House The single house on the tiny island is isolated from the rest of the world by the vast ocean. The sky above it makes it feel secluded and abandoned. A single palm tree grows on the island. There are also two rocks pitted in the sand side by side. A few scattered flowers dot the ground surrounding the humble abode. There are also plants blooming in the flowerbeds in front of the house. A few creatures can be seen moving near the forlorn home. A skink crawls about perhaps searching for insects to eat. A whale emerges from the sea to gaze upon the dwelling. Nearby a school of fish also come to the surface. Small birds hover above the thatched roof residence. The ocean's waves flow onto the island's beach creating foam. There is a well on the island to collect rain water, and a lantern to shed light in the dark night. A small rowboat is close by to carry the inhabitant to the mainland for supplies. It is noon at this time and the sun is at its zenith. The warm sunshine spreads its yellow glow all about the island. When you think about it more, the home is not as lonely as you first believed. |

this ought to be fun. I like yours, it really gives off the peaceful feeling. (At least i think it does) But i wonder what it would look like if you put a couple of some small, slightly underwater sand bar kinda things around it, just to do something i cant think up of right now... |

I'm working on mine now, ought to be done soon. And beside the single SS, can we post a short cinematic showing the terrain? |

Sure, go right ahead. You could add other things if you think it might add to your terrain/story like sound and music too I guess. Just make sure it isn't too big or too long so that we still can read, watch, etc in a short while. Anyone know how to convert midi sequences into like mp3 or something? |
