Ok, i have had a couple people tell me to download mpq view do something that even i should be able to handle and then i can fix the "bug" in world editor so that i can make a custom spell (storm bolt) which has a custom buff (freezing). Generally when i try to do this i get a custom storm bolt that does the normal stunned (pause) buff that the original storm bolt did, im being told that using the war3patch.mpq and humanabilityfunc.txt i can get around this somehow? Any help woulld be appreciated and where to download any necessary programs will be GREATLY appreciated thx :D |

Firstly you need a tool like WinMPQ (you can get it in the download section). You should forget MPQView, it's a very old tool, thats no longer used. Then you have to open War3Patch.mpq with WinMPQ and extract the needed files. Afterwards you can start to modify these files (I won't go into detail about this procedure). |
