if it's the 765 (or something) error it means your normals are messed up - this is what wc3player was refering to... If you look in the mdl under all the normals matrices and see something like ###indo### (or something) it means the normals are invalid. You can change this by optimising your model though this doesn't always work.. or by manually altering them... the way I do it is to change them appropriately eg. Normals (4) (-- I can't remember offhand exactly what it looks like but....) {000,000,001; 000,000,001;} {000,000,001; 000,000,001;} {000,000,001; 000,000,001;} {###indo###; ###indo###} so change this last one to {000,000,001; 000,000,001;} although I don't think it matters too much |

no, your normals are not munched up... you've just forgotten to paste in the heading - check the readme with k-dubs convertor - it has a sample heading that you can copy and paste in that gives you the lines into which you can specify a skin and select animation frames |

oh, your other questions - To get wc3 models into mkshape... you need a program called Biturn - it can convert mdx's into ms3d's among others... search on the net or the files section here unfortunatly it does not preserve animations or joints - afaik |

WOuld anyone mind if i posted an MDL that needs conversion? All the animations are in, but i don't know what to do with the stuff the says"boundradius" and all that stufff. You could tell me, or just do it yourself. I would greatly appreciate the help. |
