in game he swings his sword as he does in milkshape but it bunches up so he doesn't swing into the unit he's attacking - it's like he's bunched up ... it's Like his animations are confined to a tight box - but my min/max extents are greater than those of blizzard units |

I've tried all manner of things, even remade the animation but the problem remains... on the plus side I've learnt that the 'contact' of an attack should come in the middle of it's animation cycle - to sync up with the damage |

A) The sync thing is good, but you can manually do that with the animation backswing etc. Those control at which point of animation the damage should be delivered/cast. B) not certain what you mean with not swinging out (in other words, I dont know how it looks like) neither do i know it with milkshape (we should contact to get you a 3d studio max version....), but its certainly not affiliated with the min and max bounding box, those just arrange FoV inside the wc3 previewer and of course the hp bar GUI |

Check your email, re. 3dsmax.. It's like the unit has a motion limit... he swings back properly but as the sword comes round in front of him it only goes so far out in front - it definetely traces out a boundary line |
