MOD status: What's going on?

Uhh... Sorry if this seems to be spam guys... but.

This week has been a real drag... it seems as if our forum is dying.

Lord doesn't post as much as he used to... where are you?

I have no clue where X is...

And Orin has seemed to just lurk in once a month...

Can we just have a status thread... so we don't have to be so lost all the time?

I miss the kind of activity that used to occur here back in the time when I first came here. And I miss Darth_Bob... he was a good guy, and made our forums fun. Final tests aren't for about another month on most school calendars... where is everyone?

Again, Lord, I'm sorry if you think this is spam... I (and others) feel like we have been thrown into a raging river with nothing to hold on to.

if a mod falls apart does that mean we have to fall apart?

like come on! its up to us to actually help keep this forum alive.

even though the good ones are starting to leave and stuff like that. new people have came in. even though some of them were one trick ponies (e.g.: boomerangflash)

If you're referring to the artist battle thread...I can say that since me nemsis has gone off into Neverland...I'm pretty much a lurker now...deleting posts and stuff here and there...

Perhaps this sudden deadness has somewhat related to the word 'finals'...something those in schools should all know.

Except for me of course, art college does not have papers to write.

i found a way to help myself when portfolio/sketchbook checks come's around.

even though im not in a art college, or anything, my school has a high curriculum for art. so yea

about the way, every free time, try doodleing then you'll get an idea in your head. then work at the idea and go on further. by the time the portfolio/sketchbook check comes around. you have something to show, and it shows your step of improvements. i carry a bunch of 11x8 paper with me(which is mainly my portfolio) in my backpack, including my books, and my ps2. (dont mind the wieght of the backpack.) so yea....

i dunno if this'll work for your art college but it works for me.

That still leaves two mods MIA...

since the upgrade, me thinx the forum popularity went down...lots of ppl w/ experience left and all i c now are newbies wandering around

I am so sick of people using the word newbie, it is such a giant nerd thing.

I think we should take an entirely different turn with the artist battle thread, re-work it so that it dosn't rely on you and ewrt going head to head all the time. I am not entirely sure how to do this but I know that we've been getting a lot of new artists (newbies, what ever the hell you wanna call them) that get shot down because their comics are ignored. Because they don't know the history they don't pick sides. I can't remember you or ewrt drawing artists into your comics who did little more then introduce themself with a dodgy picture of themself being scared of a dragon.

But then again, my idea will probably turn it into more of a pic RPG rather than an artist battle thread.

There is nothing wrong with being a nerd.

And I say we just drop the Artist battle thread completely.

And... STOP POSTING AND GET TO THE DAMN DRAWINGS!!!

This post was meant to be answered by only the three mods... I just needed to know from THEM what THEIR status was... not your input.

I dont want to be mean but icbm.. shut up please.. dont try to lick someone ass by suddently acting mature to get a moderator status. You are usualy one of the guy that post pointless comments. If you want to direct a thread to only one or two people, send them PM(You can send a PM up to 5 people at once).

I don't even understand why TheLord, a director, put Orin as a mod of this forum. Those two must have been jokoing around on irc or something.

One of the respected and activeartist here should replace Orin.

But anyway, does this forum really need more moderation? X is doing fine with the closing/removing.

but should she have to do it ALL, if there were other moderators, then she wouldnt always have to do it all, she could focus more on other things and there would be less spamm, because i know from looking around that it is too big of a job for one person to do. (not that you dont do a great job now X!)

I don't have much time to make art lately, though I can peruse the forums for things that require modding.

Still, I think icbm would be fine for the job. He's extremely active. =)
